See Her Strength, written and performed by Samson Syharath, follows a gay Laotian man who honors his refugee mother’s strength while worrying about her from far away amid a COVID-19 lockdown.

The performance will be followed by a panel. Coi Vu, director of IRCO’s Asian Family Center and Samson Syharath will lead a conversation about COIVID-19 racism.

Presented by MediaRites with support from the Regional Arts and Culture Council, the Emily Georges Gottfried Fund of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation (OJCF), The Oregon Cultural Trust, the Collins Foundation, and The Isabella Chappell Award in support of Theatre from the Portland Civic Theatre Guild.
